Bull****. Older EVE-players get killed by newer ones often.It's how you've trained and what you know that matters, ships are important too but not rock-sissors-paper.
You don't "have to buy time" to compete in EVE, and having that kind of mentality is horrible.
loooll, u cant do the math very well can u? let me explain with a simple example:
Player 1 has 256 days of trainning and starts +7 day skill every time skill ends
Player 2 has 0 days of trainning and dont stop trainning until he reaches 256 days of trainning
When player 2 reaches 256 days spent in trainning how many days of trainning would Player 1 will have? think again mate :) if u are a high level player u will never have to worry about this problem. but a 1 day player will... lots of my friends that i tryied to bring to the game, think the same way, either u buy time and keep up with bigger players (Where the real fun in this game is) or u will be bored in no time.
That all depends what you skill, what your goals are and what you have in mind. In some regions of the game a player can outskill a 2 year older player in a month or 2.
And even if you can't immediatly compete with the uber-1337 older players that doesn't mean you can't have fun can you?
Oh and besides that: Take a gang. A bunch of newer players all together can in fact pwn a veteran hard.
